Our vision of conflict

Our vision of conflict

Conflict is a natural part of life; wherever people live together or work together, conflicts can arise. They are not in themselves the problem, but often expose the need for change of an individual, a team or an organization. In this sense, conflicts provide an opportunity for growth and improvement. The trick is to transform the power of conflicts into something positive in a timely manner before they escalate. This requires effective communication and self-reflection from all involved.

Even when these skills are present, emotions can often complicate the process, leading to hardening of positions and reduced mutual understanding. When conflicting parties are unable to reach a resolution on their own, a mediator can help and pave the way for constructive dialogue.

Sometimes exit mediation is the best option

While we believe in restoring working relationships, we recognize that this is not always possible or desirable. In fact, sometimes it takes courage to recognize that parting ways is the only path to growth. In such cases, we strive to guide a termination in the best way possible-preferably by mutual agreement and without legal proceedings, which often cause unnecessary damage to the relationship.

Our mediators also specialize in guiding exit mediation, where both parties part ways in an acceptable and respectful manner.
