Mediation for Labor Conflicts
Mediation for Labor Conflicts: Restoring Labor Relations or Exit Mediation
Mediation is often used in labor disputes between employer and employee, managers or colleagues. When a conflict leads to absenteeism, the company doctor may advise mediation. Mediation can also be used preventively, in order to prevent absenteeism. Van Opstal & Partners offers expert guidance by experienced MfN-registered mediators to resolve labor conflicts. Many answers to questions about labor mediation and the working method at Van Opstal & Partners can be found via our online mediation advisor
Purpose of Labor Mediation
Labor mediation can be aimed at restoring the employment relationship for the purpose of (future) reintegration. If a partnership proves to be untenable, exit mediation can be used to reach agreements about terminating the employment contract by mutual consent.
Exit mediation
Exit mediation involves agreeing on a respectful parting of ways. A mediator is neutral and may not advise parties. Therefore, we recommend that parties seek legal advice for an appropriate solution. Find more information about exit-mediation here
