Complaints Committee

Complaints committee - our approach

When Van Opstal & Partners acts as an external complaints committee, we are contacted by the complaints officer of the organization in question as soon as a complaint is filed.

Within one week, Van Opstal & Partners assembles an independent complaints committee, consisting of three members. Careful consideration is given to legal and substantive expertise, diversity and - if necessary - language skills. In the case of a complaint handled in English, at least one native speaker always participates in the committee.

Composition of the complaint committee

Each grievance committee consists of:

  • a chairman

  • a secretary

  • a general member

Regulations and operating procedures

The grievance committee works in accordance with the applicable grievance regulations of the organization involved.
When Van Opstal & Partners enters into a partnership to provide for an external grievance committee, these regulations are carefully reviewed and - where necessary - improved or updated so that they comply with current laws and regulations and best practices.
