At Van Opstal & Partners, 87% of our mediations have been successfully concluded over the past 3 years, a result higher than the national average of 70-75%. Successful mediations are always recorded in a written mediation final agreement or settlement agreement signed by both parties.

A mediation process with us takes an average of 4 to 5 weeks, with usually 2 to 3 joint sessions after preliminary discussions. The hourly rate is competitive and the total is calculated based on hours worked. On average, 10 hours are billed per process. We often prepare quotes for 12 hours. In labor mediations, the employer often assumes the costs, and increasingly, insurance companies (partially) reimburse mediation costs.
