About Van Opstal & Partners
Van Opstal & Partners is one of the largest and most specialized mediation agencies in the Netherlands. We help organizations and people resolve labor conflicts, team problems and absenteeism issues through professional mediation, coaching and training.
With over 30 experienced MfN-registered mediators, spread across the country, we offer customized solutions that really work.
The Van Opstal & Partners team
Our team consists of more than 30 certified mediators and four employees at the head office in Nijmegen. Everyone shares one conviction: conflicts, if properly managed, can lead to growth and recovery.
In 2025, founder Lambert van Opstal handed over the baton to Marjanne van Loon and Robert Jan Hylkema, who, together with Diederik Diercks (Director of Training & Coaching), are building on the next phase: professional, people-oriented and future-proof. Case managers Juliette Smits and Thomas Ebben work at our headquarters.

Our mission
We make working relationships healthier by managing conflicts professionally and with an eye for people. We believe in lasting solutions, mutual respect, and increasing resilience in teams and organizations.
How we work:
When a conflict can no longer be resolved independently, organizations turn to us. We work exclusively with certified MfN mediators with extensive experience in labor cases.
We listen, analyze and always pair a mediator who fits the situation. Fast, professional and with an eye for all involved.
Our vision of conflict
Conflicts are not the problem - they are often a signal of underlying need for change. If addressed timely and carefully, they represent an opportunity for growth. We help people and organizations seize that opportunity.
Prevention is better than cure
Conflicts cost energy, money and well-being. That's why we also support you in preventing escalations - with training, coaching and a strong emphasis on self-reliance. Because learning to deal with tension is more effective than having to solve it over and over again.
